Sacro-occipital Technique (SOT)

Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) is a gentle chiropractic technique that addresses the functional relationship between the Sacrum (base of the spine) the pelvis and the occiput (base of the skull). During an SOT treatment session, blocks or wedges are positioned delicately and precisely under the pelvis to realign the head, spine and pelvis, correct misalignments and restore function to the central nervous system.
The Chiropractor will place blocks under your pelvis in a very specific direction to ensure it corrects the dysfunctions in that area. The blocks balance out the pelvis in a slow and gentle manner and allow the muscles/ligaments in that region to release and relax.
SOT is a gentle, safe and effective therapy that can be used on patients of all ages, including throughout pregnancy.
