Sacro-occipital Technique (SOT)

Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) is a gentle chiropractic approach that focuses on the relationship between the sacrum (base of the spine), the pelvis and the occiput (base of the skull).
During an SOT session, specially designed blocks or wedges are positioned carefully under the pelvis. This allows the body to respond to gravity and positioning in a slow and controlled manner.
This technique is used as part of an individualised care approach to support joint movement and musculoskeletal function.
The chiropractor will position the blocks in a specific way based on your assessment, aiming to provide a gentle and comfortable experience.
SOT is a low-force technique that may be used for people of all ages, including during pregnancy.

Care is tailored to each individual. Chiropractic care focuses on the musculoskeletal system and individual responses may vary.
